Love the post, and really love the PS re: AI!!! Personally, I'm experimenting with taking a break from big swings and, after 50+ years filled with dozens of big swings + constantly living outside my comfort zone, I'm also experimenting with seeking more time in that coveted comfort zone.

That makes TOTAL sense for you, and I love it!! I'm SO happy you get to delight in your comfort zone - that's the BEST and hopefully the season I'm headed into next! 😍

Thanks Emily! Of course, experimenting is one thing… especially when one has spent a lifetime as a DRIVER and IMPLEMENTER of all the things. Wish me luck!

What "big swings" are you taking every day? I'd love to know! Did you read A Man Called Ove? I tried and gave up (I don't remember how far I got). Looking forward to hearing about your project - did you say a blog is involved?

One big swing is/was submitting to Literary Journals with short pieces of work after the workshop I took in April.

I did read a "Man Called Ove" and enjoyed it when I read it. Some of his work is hard to get into... but I also think you have to read stuff at the right time for YOU in life sometimes to appreciate certain books. For example, I just finished "My Friends" yesterday, and I liked it ok (I gave it 4/5 stars for my personal preference). My sister-in-law loved it, and we've been swapping recommendations, but for me it was just OK. I like the one I'm reading NOW far better! An American Marriage by Tayari Jones (while I wait for my birthday book haul to arrive in the mail lolololol) 🤣. Have you read it? What are you reading, and would you do a big swing!? Or do you prefer small steps?

The project MIGHT have a blog/article component! That would be the goal!!!
